Lord's Blade Ciaran

Overview

Location

Royal Wood, next to a small grave at the site where Knight Artorias was fought, appearing only after he's been defeated. Source notes she may not appear immediately -- reloading or leaving and returning to the area can be needed to trigger her spawn.

Access condition

Requires Knight Artorias to have already been defeated.

Can die

yes

Death or hostility conditions

Becomes hostile and fights (using Lloyd's Talismans) only if the player chooses to attack her instead of trading with her, or refuses her request in a way that provokes combat. If the player peacefully declines her request instead, she simply disappears with no fight and no further interaction possible for that playthrough.

Keeps selling if hostile survives

not applicable

Dialogue progression

Requests the Soul of Artorias. If given to her, she grants the Dark Silver Tracer and the Gold Tracer in exchange, then departs permanently. A peaceful refusal makes her vanish (after a reload or leaving/returning to the area) with no further chance to interact with her.

Relocates

no

Relocation note

none recorded

Note

One of very few NPCs in this compendium whose encounter is a strict one-time fork (trade, fight, or lose the interaction entirely) with no way to revisit the choice within the same playthrough.
